Wallingford
HC Men's 1st
team came
from a goal
down with
ten minutes
left in the
game to beat
Oxford Hawks
2nd
team 3 – 2
at the
Hithercroft
on Saturday.
After Hawks
scored
first, Rowan
Wheeler tied
the first
half
score-line.
Late in the

what
appeared to
be a likely
winner from
a short

Wheeler
scored his
second goal
of the game
from a short
corner with
a low drag
flick to the
left post
and Rupert
Barker won
the game for
Wallingford
finishing
some
excellent
build-up
play down
the right.
Wallingford’s
challenge to
pull out of
the bottom 4
in the
league
continues
next week
away to
Rover
Oxford.
