Wallingford Ladies 1s continued their success this season with a 4-0 win over Milton Keynes 1s, securing their position at second in the league heading into their final match before the Christmas break next week against Sonning at Wallingford Sports Park. Wallingford started the match positively despite having a low sun in their eyes and soon the pressure on the opposition paid off with Tazz Mottram putting Wallingford ahead. Several missed opportunities did not hinder Wallingford's spirits and the defence stayed strong through some dangerous breaks from the opposition.
 
Going into the second half 1-0 up Wallingford continued to pile on the pressure and were soon rewarded with another goal from Mottram. The opposition did not react and a short corner saw a battle on the line resulting in a goal for Jess Allen and being 3-0 up. To finish off in style another goal for Mottram secured her Player of the Match and a hatrick. A strong performance was displayed by the whole team and Wallingford will take this forward to next week's game with a fist full of confidence.

A tough and frustrating match with neither team scoring from open play. The score remained 0-0 until a short-corner awarded to High Wycombe in the second-half proved fruitful. Wallingford stepped up the pressure in the second half with lots of action in the D. 16-yard hits were pressed well but Wallingford could not get past the Wycombe keeper. Unfortunately the score remained 1-0 to Wycombe. Man of the Match was Jane.
